“ My first time trying poutine so I can't really make a good comparison, but LOVED IT! Great location - Perfect on a late night before you go home from Granville Street. The staff seemed pretty aloof but I didn't expect much. So many topping options to choose from and at a good price. Super flavorful comfort food, will be back. ”
“ Visiting Vancouver we were told to get poutine fries. This place seemed the most raved about so we tried it! Fritz is a really small restaurant so beware of that! The service we got from the lady working there was great, she was really nice. The prices were reasonable for what we got. The poutine itself was pretty good, we loved the pulled pork. We got two sauces which were the Cajun ketchup and the garlic lover. The garlic lover sauce was to die for! Loved it so much. I wish the fries were a little crispier but not sure if that's just how the fries are supposed to be. All in all, we were satisfied! ”
“ When wanting to try poutine in Canada, we went to Fritz to get a an easy to go option. This place had the French fries crispy and tried the pulled pork poutine which was so delicious. The portion was huge for their size, so it's best to share with friends or family if you just want it as a light snack in between meals. The service here was fairly fast and the store was small and easy to navigate. Parking in the area was street parking, but we had a friend go in to pick it up while we waited. ”
“ They should use this shop for the definition of poutine in the dictionary. The poutine is excellent with your favorite toppings. We tried the pulled pork and it was amazing. We also had to try the fries by itself and it was crispy without being too oily. The shop is small so most get it to go. The owner is super friendly and is a master at her craft. ”
“ So this was our very first time in Canada so we knew that our #1 priority when it came to food was to try the famous poutine and after weeks of research, we narrowed it down to this amazing establishment. A lot of times you try new foods that have a certain fame to them and it falls short of your expectations.. NOT Fritz. Fritz is the complete opposite of that, they surpassed any expectations we could've ever had. These may have been the best fries we've ever had and I'm not even talking about the toppings. Seriously, I ordered a small plain fry to go and it was such a simple but transformative experience, I don't know if I'll ever see French fries the same lol. The cheese curds start off bouncy but once that rich brown gravy is dripped on top of them and the fries, they become perfectly melty. The Montreal smoked meat was so tender and juicy while the pulled pork had a little tanginess and sweetness to it, reminiscent of the pulled pork we'd get at Buc-ees down in Texas. Poutine just entered into the pantheon of greatest comfort foods of all time for me and it's in large part due to the elite quality here at Fritz. Shoot, it was so good that we went back the next night for an even larger portion! It's a small shop with only 2 people working when we went but it was perfect for a late night bite in the heart of downtown Vancouver. Can't wait to come back ”
“ During our short visit to Vancouver, we discovered Fritz and decided that we had to visit every night. My favorite combination was with their pulled pork, garlic lovers and mango curry chutney. Be sure to use their chili crisp oil as it totally elevates the entire experience. Great and quick service from their staff. ”
“ I used to never like poutine but after trying Fritz, I started to love it and now whenever I'm in Vancouver I need to get Fritz! Their prices are reasonable for the big portions and I appreciate that they are open so late as well. Despite being pretty busy, the service is pretty quick. The fries are nice and crispy, and the cheese curds melt in your mouth. They also have a lot of unique sauce flavors you can get on the side. It's best to eat fresh so I wish there was better seating (there are just a few benches) but I guess it's more of a to go place anyway. ”
“ My husband and I absolutely love poutine and went out of our way to eat here on a trip to Vancouver. Unfortunately Vancouver doesn't have many poutine establishments. The fry house is very small and is open late, they probably are most popular late at night! That said, it's best to plan to take this to go and eat it in a nearby park as there isn't much seating inside. The poutine was assembled to order and came out fast. We both thought it was pretty good but weren't blown away. ”
“ O Fritz, how do I love thee. An absolutely wonderful poutine place with delicious dipping options. If you like lighter gravy with melty cheese curds you've come to the right place. I've tried a few dipping sauces but always end up loving the Garlic Lovers. Parking is terrible because it's right at the heart of the city. Also not great for big groups, seating is limited. Service was quick! ”
